A Christmas Message

Posted on

After a nice short day at work I came home and baked some festive chocolate cupcakes for my family, had a relaxing bath using my Lush bath bomb and enjoyed a glass of Eggnog for the first time with my parents. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas Eve and are all set for tomorrow. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my followers and anyone else reading this a very merry Christmas. Laugh lots and make some great memories.

More importantly, be good to each other and don’t take anything for granted. I Shall be celebrating with my family and I hope you all have someone special to share the day with. Enjoy yourselves!

A Moment in Time

Posted on

We’ve all had those moments when we wake up with a raging hangover and vowed to ourselves that we will NEVER drink again (until the weekend after). Well I had one of those many moments again this morning after a night out with the family celebrating my mum’s 70th birthday. But this time I’ve decided to put it to practice and test my will power. It’s not like I haven’t done it before. I once gave up alcohol for about 2 years and as I’m not a particularly big drinker anyway, I’m hoping I can stick to it. The only main events I need to overcome is Christmas and the two-week cruise I’m going on next year.

I’m not only doing it because I hate hangovers and I don’t seem to be able to handle them as I’m getting older but I want to be healthier. Sometimes I feel really guilty when I’ve drunk lots the night before, like I’ve done something bad to my body and it’s punishing me for what I’ve put it through. I want my 2013 to be the start of a healthier me.
