Camel Riding on Fire Mountain – Lanzarote

Posted on

Day 6 (Thursday 9th May) and we arrive in Lanzarote. The excursion we had booked took us to Timanfaya National Park and around the Fire  Mountain. This was the centre of a volcanic eruption that took place in the 1700’s that lasted for 6 years. You can read a little bit about it HERE. We also took a short bumpy ride on camels. The weather was lovely at last. Some of the photos were taken through the windows of the coach as we couldn’t get out to take them so there may be some shine or reflection on them.
